ABOUT THE BREEDER
My name is Jody Seabolt, I breed exceptional AKC bloodhounds. I have worked with Dr. Wylie at Canis Magnus Kennels. I am so happy to be able to learn from him, and be involved with his bloodhound bloodlines. I will do my best to preserve the breed and create outstanding family pets and tracking hounds. I strive to keep the best bloodlines in my program. These lines have repeatedly proven themselves to be great family companions, with many succeeding in becoming tracking hounds for law enforcement and game recovery professionals.
My kennels are located in Northeast Georgia. Please call for a visit and for more details on my dogs pedigrees. I do my best to get the adopter the most for there money, providing in-depth pedigrees and health screenings along with life long advise and my experience with tracking dogs. I want to be involved with my customers even after they have purchased a pup.
I am running a small breeding program to ensure the quality of my dogs and make sure that I can devote more time to each dog and customer. I will not always have dogs available, I am planning on just a few litters a year. Keep reading to see my story and how I became involved with breeding bloodhounds.
I began a career in law enforcement when I graduated high school. I worked as a road officer, investigator, and a K9 Officer. I was in law enforcement for a total of 15 years. It was when I was a K9 officer, I began seeing bloodhounds used for tracking suspects. I did not “work” a bloodhound, but did some training around them and also assisted other handlers with tracking suspects with them. I worked a shepherd, who was trained in narcotics detection and tracking. Even before seeing what these amazing bloodhounds could do in a real world setting, I always had an interest in the breed.
I always wanted to be a dog breeder, but knew due to my work schedule, and having an active family, I would not have the time to commit to ensuring that I could run a quality kennel effectively.
On January 8th of 2022, I suffered an occipital lobe stroke. It nearly blinded me. Needless to say, I had to resign from law enforcement. It was then that I decided to breed bloodhounds.
I purchased my first bloodhound from Dr. Wylie. I was very impressed by his bloodhounds and his kennels. I am grateful to say that we have worked together with this bloodhound breeding program, using his dogs as a fantastic base for the expansion of my kennels. I have done a tremendous amount of research and have become obsessive over the breed and researching pedigrees. I now have the time to devote to this venture that I have always wanted to pursue.
I will grow Walking Tall Bloodhounds into a business and stay true to the dogs, ensuring each pup go to a good home and are taken care of. My goal is to stay open and honest to all of the adopters and devote a lot of time to this kennel. I will always be a phone call away from anyone that has questions or needs help with anything pertaining to my dogs.
As any breeder hopes for, I want people to hear of this kennel name on the pedigree and know these dogs are from good breeding. I am very fortunate to be able to do this and to have acquired the dogs that I have. A special thanks to Dr. Wylie from Canis Magnus Kennels for all of his help and advise. If you are looking for German Shorthair Pointers, Vizsla, or Bracco Italiano pups I highly recommend him. Also a very special thanks to my wife, who has supported me this entire time.
Thank you for checking out my website and please contact me ANYTIME with any questions or concerns!
Sincerely, Jody Seabolt
